12 Tags 2013 February

Its that time again, to show and tell my tag for the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2013 Challenge details can be found here.

As normal uploading just in time.  The old computer went to technology heaven the new pretty purple one (it's best feature) is running on the Windows 8 system, as its not fair to to yours ears to tell you what I really think to the new system, and the hours sent setting it up or not as the case may be, any one in the same situation has my full sympathy.  It takes too much time away from playing (I mean creating) art.

I have to say this time I intended to play along and use similar techniques, but in the end the process went a little side ways as you will see if you carry on reading.

First I could not find the colour of Distress Stain I wanted to use for the back ground.  So out came the Dylusion spays, using a mixture of pinks, white linen and later Calypso Teal.  Using the Crafter's Workshop 'Birds of a Feather' template I lifted some colour and added the teal.  Then added the leaves in black and peeled paint ink. Off to the stash to find a few bits, the hearts are utee made on one of our just play days. A full list of supplies is at the bottom for those that like.  The words I am sure made from a couple of other sayings.  The use of birds, because I am doing the Brave Girls Club on line art course and it feels right.

The photos never do the tags proud, but hope you can see a few of the layers, as we say I was in my  Happy Place making this one.

I'm not sure this close up works, but I will leave it in.

Dylusions sprays, Bubblegum Pink, Funky Fuchsia, Cherry Pie, White Linen, Calypso Teal
Distress Inks, Old Paper, Peeled Paint
Black ink (forget which brand)
Lavinia stamp for leaves
Utee hearts
Crafter's Workshop Birds of a Feather Template
Prima - Fly away Bird
Words - she her heart she knew it was time to fly
other bits from the stash.

Just an aside we are so happy the new Dylusions sprays and Distress paints arrived in the store on Friday. As Tally says we need one in every colour please. (we should be so lucky!)
