At the same time the next item on the top of the list was running up to occupy all our working hours, in that the craft side of the business is under renewed development. A long with an e-commerce site in development we had the bright idea of doing a few local craft show to start to reach out to a wide audience. The first one is this coming Sunday 13th May at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield 10am to 3pm. We have been ordering some new stock to take to the show, as normal this can be frustrating, as items are never in stock when you are ready to purchase, but hopefully enough will arrive in time. Of course as we booked the craft show in advance the trip boat side of the business is extremely busy. So off Georgie will go with two very excited staff, while I hold the fort at base, after helping with the early morning set up.
Then to go with the show we felt we should have some new exhibition eye candy so Georgie is busy prep-ing a few more samples to put round the stand. I am trying to help, but as yet I have lots of backgrounds, I like that bit, in time you will understand that backgrounds are one of my talents, I am working on the finishing bit.
The exciting bit is the spring edition Distress Inks arrived, so most of my sample tags are using these and other colours. I love the Squeezed Lemonade colour and have had great fun adding a little over other colours to see the way it changes the shade of the originally colour. Below are a few of the many tags that I have doodled this week. On some I have also put a background of picket fence Distress Stain. Some new embossing folders have also arrived, so played with a few of them as well. Unfortunately although we have a few demo colours of the distress pens, our shipment is still on back order, I did use ours to do a bit of stamping. Tally likes them to colour and wants one in every colour - to share of course.
I think Tim Holtz had the saying of the week. Every now and then you have to
'remember to breathe..'
So I did, and spent a few minutes looking through the photos on the computer, this one brings back great memories. As Tally says you like sunsets don't you Mummy? I also love the sea.
Its taken somewhere along the Florida keys a few years ago.
Happy crafting, as you have happened along to the blog why not leave a comment, then I can hop along to visit you.
