In the need for a quick birthday card, leaving it to the night before is the norm.
Out comes a selection of paints and inks .
Tally (the 8 year old daughter needs to make one too, pictures of that on the next log)
Now the selection of card stock is very important, the first bit that comes to hand in this case a basic sheet of cream card.
Background made with blending Distress Ink. Method pick a few colours and see what happens.
I actually drew in pencil lots of flowers on the card first then couldn't see them once ink was on the page
Next out comes the LuminArte H2O paints I like the sparkle they give, using several shades of red, orange and yellow I just painted the poppy's at random free hand. Finishing with the stems and leaves.
Its a shame the picture does not give the sparkle of the paint.
Next a quick rummage in the paper stash to find something to layer it with to lift it off the card. (The basic card and painted card are the same stock)
The inside was looking a little plain so added a trio of poppy's inside.
Once the card was finished it was time to just play a little for no reason at all.
The main flowers are painted with the H2O's on the cream card. The back ground colour put in after using water colour pastels.
